Curriculum Guides

In 2015, The Trumbull County Historical Society was chosen to participate in the Kennedy Center's Any Given Child initiative to develop and implement a plan for expanded arts education in Warren City Schools, ensuring access and equity for all students in grades K-8. Based on my knowledge of the TCHS collection and conversations held with the director regarding capacity and resources, I developed five detailed curriculum guides that include age group, resources, step-by-step lessons, follow up activities, and the Ohio Common Core Standards addressed in each lesson.

My goal was to create customizable guides that could be implemented in the following year and used as templates for future curriculum guides as the program evolved.
