The Andy Warhol Museum

A is for Archive: Warhol's World from A to Z by Matt Wrbican (Yale University Press, August 2019)

I was hired as a project cataloguer at the Andy Warhol Museum to catalogue objects for A is for Archive: Warhol's World from A to Z, a publication focusing on past archives exhibitions curated by former Chief Archivist Matt Wrbican. The process involved going through Matt's exhibit notes, locating objects in collections storage and Warhol's Time Capsules, cataloguing both relevant objects and entire Time Capsules in The Museum System (TMS), and digitizing objects with DSLR cameras and scanners according to NARA standards.

By the end of my 14-month term, I had catalogued over 2,400 objects (including seven complete Time Capsules), processed over 7,200 images, and written two finding aids for recent acquisitions.

Photographing a dog sweater that belonged to Warhol's dachshunds.

Photographing an entire Time Capsule for the publication.

An unorganized, uncatalogued Time Capsule. Each Time Capsule contains between 100-400 objects that have to be arranged, catalogued, and digitized.
