Mona Lisa Exhibition

Course: Museum Communication (LIS 60702)

Assignment: The final project of the semester was a team project in which we prepared an exhibition proposal for one section of an exhibition focusing on Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa to be installed during the following semester. The assignment was based on the IPOP model, the name for a new model of experience preference that originated at the Smithsonian. It identifies four key dimensions of experience — Ideas, People, Objects, and Physical experiences.

My team was assigned the Object dimension and proposed a Mona Lisa installation based on the IPOP model, our dimension, and the gallery space parameters. To successfully complete this assignment, I attended regular team meetings, developed a budget, and utilized Google SketchUp to plan the exhibition layout. The exhibition Mona Lisa x4 was installed in the MuseLab at Kent State University in Fall 2017.
